About Mervyn Betts, President:
Mervyn Betts has been very active in the industrial automation and telecommunications space since 1992. He has been very active in education helping to develop the Cal State Bakersfield Instrumentation Technician Program, as well as having sat on the SAIT Instrumentation Advisory Board for over 16 years. Originally, Mervyn started his career at Kenonic Controls where he acquired his Journeyman ticket and then worked for Emerson, managing their Canadian DCS Business; Foxboro, managing their Western North America Channel partner business; then as a Vice President at Simark Controls. Mervyn currently owns BettsM Controls where he is finally an entrepreneur with his own money as opposed to someone else’s money.
Mervyn is a futurist in the industrial automation field, always watching for new technology. He has spoken at various conferences about VTScada, wastewater clarification, and most importantly, the future of technology in automation controls. He brings a combination of field work experience, managerial skill, and entrepreneurial perception to any project he works on.
